2026 Nations Cup

The Nations Cup is an international heritage ball hockey championship taking place October 9–11, 2026, at Langley Events Centre. Hosted by True North Ball Hockey in partnership with the Fraser Valley Ball Hockey Association and Coastal Ball Hockey Society, the event will feature eight heritage-based teams competing in two pools, followed by semifinals, a bronze-medal game and the championship final.

The event is being created to celebrate the cultural and family backgrounds within British Columbia’s ball hockey community while delivering a highly competitive tournament. Our goal is to give players, coaches and team staff the opportunity to represent a country or region connected to their ancestry. Teams are heritage representatives created for this event and are not official national teams.

Participants must normally qualify through a parent or grandparent born in the country or region they wish to represent. Broader ancestry and certain team-staff exceptions may be approved by the Nations Cup Committee. Citizenship, birthplace and current residence do not determine eligibility, although a connection to British Columbia will be considered during selection. Heritage eligibility allows someone to be considered but does not guarantee selection; experience, ability, qualifications, team needs, commitment and conduct will also be evaluated.
